Attendance (Muster) at the START of class:

As Cadets enter the classroom, they are to stand behind their desk/table chair at parade rest. Once Cadets are called to “Attention” (according to the process below) there is no talking.

Call Cadets to: 

1. Attention on deck . . . (Wait for all Cadets to stand silently at attention behind their chairs.)

2. Parade rest . . .

3. Call the Cadets by their Last Name (Cadets are expected to go back to attention before responding “Here sir!” or “Here ma'am!” and then back to parade rest after they clearly respond.)

4. Attention 

5. Seats

    

If any Cadet talks during muster or does not follow the muster procedures correctly, the teacher/staff member can begin the process all over with the entire class and repeat it as many times as necessary until muster is carried out with consistent efficacy.

If any Cadets are late without a pass, the Cadet is expected to do 10 push-ups for being late (this is called a site-correction).  After being late 5 times, a discipline referral must be completed in eSchool. 

At the END of class:

Before Cadets are dismissed, 

Call Cadets to:

1. Attention on deck . . . (Wait for all Cadets to stand silently at attention behind their chairs.)

2. Wish Cadets a great day!  (Then, Cadets may leave the classroom.)

          

   The bell system does not dismiss Cadets; the teachers/staff do.
